What's the difference between Fleas, Ticks, Worms and Heartworms?

Fleas

Fleas feed off the blood of people and pets. Flea bites can cause health problems and are the number one cause of skin allergies in cats.

Ticks

Ticks are a small parasite that attaches to the skin and feeds by sucking blood while secreting toxins into your cat’s bloodstream.

Worms

Intestinal worms can be transferred from pets to human family members and can cause health issues.

Heartworms

Heartworm is a parasitic worm that can infect your pet through a mosquito bite. Heartworm can be fatal if left undiagnosed or untreated.
